How BeatBoard Works

BeatBoard is built to make buying and selling beats simple. Browse thousands of licensable beats, lease or buy exclusive licenses with instant download, sell your own beats commission-free, compete in Beat Battles, and collaborate with creators worldwide. Here is exactly how each part works.

Step 1

How to buy beats

Find, license and download a beat in three steps.

1

Browse and preview

Open Discover or a genre page, filter by genre, mood, BPM or key, and preview any beat with the play button.

2

Choose a license

Pick Lease (MP3 + WAV), Standard (WAV) or Exclusive (WAV + Stems). Check the license terms and price.

3

Pay and download

Pay securely with a card via Stripe and download your untagged files instantly from the beat page or your library.

Step 2

How to sell beats

Start selling your beats commission-free in three steps.

1

Create a producer account

Sign up as a producer and activate the $10/month seller subscription — no listing fees, keep 100% of every sale.

2

Upload your beats

Add cover art, a tagged preview and untagged sale files. AI auto-detects genre, BPM, key and mood. Set your lease, standard and exclusive prices.

3

Get paid

BeatBoard handles checkout, licensing and instant delivery. Earnings land in your wallet — withdraw to bank (IBAN) or PayPal.

Step 3

How beat licensing works

Understand the three license tiers and custom licenses.

1

Lease license

MP3 + WAV with limited distribution and streaming rights — ideal for a single project. The beat stays for sale.

2

Standard license

WAV with broader usage rights for multiple projects. Higher price, still non-exclusive.

3

Exclusive license

WAV + Stems with full ownership. The beat is removed from the marketplace and is yours alone. Producers can also upload a custom license.

Step 4

How Beat Battles work

Compete, get voted and win prize money.

1

Enter a battle

Pick an active battle in your genre, submit a beat and pay the small entry fee (for example $10).

2

Get community votes

The community votes on entries. The top beats rise up the leaderboard during the voting phase.

3

Win prize money

The top entries win prize money (for example $1,000 for first place), credited to your wallet and withdrawable.

Step 5

How collaborations work

Find producers and artists to build tracks together.

1

Post or join a collab

Producers post collaborations from stems, vocals, lyrics or melodies — open to all or by application.

2

Work together

Collaborators download the stems, add their part, and you accept the right contributors for the project.

3

Release the result

Upload the finished track, credit everyone, and it appears on all contributors profiles.
